CFED — Distance Training and Exchange Centre

The CFED in Nouakchott represents an important stage in the office’s trajectory. It accompanied the introduction of educational infrastructure linked to the early use of the internet and the rise of distance-learning needs.

For the Ministry of Economy and Planning, MCB carried out the studies, preliminary and developed design, execution documentation and construction supervision. The centre’s architecture reflects a moment when technical equipment itself became a visible component of the project.

Supported at the time by the World Bank, the programme shows the office’s ability to situate an architectural project within a broader institutional transition, where a facility is not merely a building but part of public policy.
